Hidden Grounds Coffee

Hidden Grounds Coffee is a hidden gem in Jersey City that offers a unique fusion of flavors and experiences. As a food reviewer of Restaurant World, I am excited to introduce this establishment that caters to those seeking breakfast, brunch, coffee, and tea options. With a focus on sandwiches, avocado toast, espresso drinks, tea, bakery items, bagels, signature drinks, and coffee beans, Hidden Grounds Coffee provides a diverse menu that showcases Asian-inspired flavors and beverages.

One of the standout items on the menu is the Bombay Sandwich, a flavorful combination of sourdough bread, mints and date chutneys, American cheeses, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and chips. The Chicken Tikka Sandwich is also a must-try with its blend of sourdough bread, chicken tikka, onion, and mint chutney. For those craving a lighter option, the Savory Avocado Toast or Smoked Salmon Toast offers a delightful combination of flavors on sourdough bread.

When it comes to coffee, Hidden Grounds does not disappoint. From pour-over coffee to red eye and cafe au lait, their selection of brews caters to every coffee lover's preferences. The Chai Latte and Dirty Chai Latte are perfect choices for those looking for a warm and comforting drink with a hint of spice.

Delicious avocado toast and great coffee. You can opt to add extra avocado if you're really hungry. Breakfast and lunch perfection!

Me and my partner go often for coffee and chai. We've tried almost all the coffee in the area and really like it!

I'm giving this place four stars because I like the location and was able to get a lot of work done. Long, comfy tables with a bunch of outlets ie a solid WFH home spot. However, I wasn't a fan of what I ordered---a chai latte. Given the variety in the menu, I made the wrong assumption that this would be legit however it kind of reminded me of the Tazo chai concentrate. If a place is advertising their ethnic flavors like a glob jamun donut or cardamom/rose infused drinks, then I'd expect some authentic chai latte. I wouldn't write this place off just yet. I'm willing to try another drink/donut before docking another star.

AMAZING coffee and donuts. Ordered a hot rose chai with oat- the spices really came through! The drink was creamy, and it was such a pleasant cup to start the day off with. Not to mention all the donuts were unique, pretty, and delicious. Pistachio stood out to me the most, soft, flavorful, not too sweet. Compliments the drinks really well. The atmosphere was also very cozy and artesanal. For a morning rush and almost being sold out of donuts, the staff handled it very well with prompt service.
